Swainson’s spurfowl


This is also called Swainson’s francolin. It is found in the African continent especially in countries like Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Eswatini, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Swainson’s spurfowl was named after William Swainson, an English ornithologist. This bird has dark streaks, dark blackish legs, and bare red face and throat. It frequents grasslands and savannas.
