Eastern yellow-billed hornbill

 

This is also known as the northern yellow-billed hornbill. It is commonly found in African countries such as Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.

This is a medium-sized black-and-white hornbill with a big downcurved banana-like bill. Males have a larger bill and pinkish bare skin on the throat. Females have a smaller bill and black bare skin.  The call is a long series of deep clucks that rises and falls.
