This bird is also called grey-headed starling and grey-headed myna. It is a resident or partially migratory species found in wooded habitats in India and Southeast Asia. They have grey upperparts. Yellow bill with a pale blue base is another peculiarity. These are omnivorous as they eat fruit, nectar and insects. They usually build nests in old barbet or woodpecker hole in tree-trunks.
