ക്രിസ്റ്റീന കോച്ച് (Christina Koch)

അടുത്തയിടെ ജസീക്ക മീര്‍ എന്ന മറ്റൊരു യാത്രികയോടൊപ്പം, വനിതകള്‍ മാത്രമായുള്ള ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ആദ്യ ബഹിരാകാശ നടത്തത്തിലേര്‍പ്പെട്ട് റെക്കോഡിട്ട അമേരിക്കന്‍ ബഹിരാകാശ യാത്രിക. തുടര്‍ച്ചയായി 328 ദിവസം ബഹിരാകാശത്ത് ചെലവഴിച്ച് പുതിയ വനിതാ റെക്കോര്‍ഡ് സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ക്രിസ്റ്റീന കോച്ച് ഭൂമിയില്‍ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയത് അടുത്തയിടെയാണ്. 11 മാസം രാജ്യാന്തര ബഹിരാകാശ നിലയത്തില്‍ (ഐഎസ്എസ്) താമസിച്ചത്തിനു ശേഷമാണ് ഭൂമിയിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിയെത്തിയത്. റോസ്‌കോസ്‌മോസിന്റെ സോയൂസ് കമാന്‍ഡര്‍ അലക്‌സാണ്ടര്‍ സ്‌കോര്‍ട്‌സോവ്, ഇഎസ്എയുടെ (യൂറോപ്യന്‍ ബഹിരാകാശ ഏജന്‍സി) ലൂക്കാ പര്‍മിറ്റാനോ എന്നിവരുമൊത്താണ് ക്രിസ്റ്റീന കോച്ച് ഭൂമിയില്‍ ഇറങ്ങിയത്. 1979 ജനുവരി 29നാണ് ക്രിസ്റ്റീന കോച്ചിന്റെ ജനനം.

(The NASA astronaut who has returned to Earth recently, after spending a total of 328 days in space, between the dates of 14 March 2019 and 6 February 2020. She touched the earth alongwith cosmonaut Aleksandr Skvortsov and ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano.
Koch achieved the Guinness World Records title for the longest spacewalk by a woman as well. She participated in the first all-female spacewalk with fellow NASA astronaut Jessica Meir, on 18 October 2019. She was born on January 29, 1979 at Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.S.)
