Foxglove flower

This flower is common in various areas in continents like Europe, Asia and Africa. The flowers grow on a tall spike and vary in colour with species, from purple to pink, white, and yellow. Foxglove has medicinal uses but can also be toxic to humans and other animals. A group of medicines extracted from foxglove plants are called digitalin, mainly used for cardiac treatment.
