Coreopsis Tinctoria flower

Coreopsis tinctoria is also called garden ticksee or golden tickseed. The plant is common to the American continent. Flower heads are brilliant yellow with maroon or brown disc florets of various sizes. Flowering typically occurs in mid-summer. Flowers were used by people to make dyes or beverages in ancient times.
